Ahead of the upcoming Assam Assembly Elections, the Union Home Ministry has reviewed the Z category Security for Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has now been increased for the Whole Country. Earlier, Sarma’s Z category Security was limited to Assam only.
The Ministry has taken this decision based on the Threat Perception Report of the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Country’s Internal Intelligence Agency.
