Human skeleton found in Assam’s Karimganj, Probe begins

Guwahati: Skeletal remains have been recovered in a remote hillside in the Kekaragul Tea Garden in the Ratabari Thana area of Karimganj district on Wednesday.

The recovery of the bare-bones has frightened the locals.

According to reports, locals spotted the skeleton and then reported it to the police immediately.

As per police, the human skeleton was initially thought to belong to Vijay Rabidas, a 30-year-old local youngster. He has been missing since March 25, 2022.

While addressing to media, a police official said, “Identification of the bone remains is underway. The skeleton remains have been sent for an autopsy. We won’t know the actual cause of death until we get the post-mortem examination results.”

Meanwhile, the family of the missing Vijay Rabidas and locals claimed that he was murdered and later his body was thrown in the Kekaragul Tea Garden.
