Guwahati: Assam Police arrested six persons in connection with illegal Cattle Transportation in Nagaon.
In an operation conducted by the Nagaon Police on Sunday, the police officials arrested 6 persons for their alleged involvement in the illegal transportation of cattle across the border.
The officials further seized two trucks that were used to carry the cattle and one car. One of the trucks was bearing the registration number AS01-LC5157.
Moreover, the Police recovered 42 cattle and a total amount of Rs 34,560 from their possession.
The police officials taking the Twitter informed that one constable along with a Home Guard was found facilitating such consignments. The constable was reportedly arrested.
However, the Home Guard is still on run.
