Northeast Desk, 2nd August: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall for Sikkim over the next few days, prompting the Sikkim District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) to issue an alert to residents and visitors.

The IMD’s warning, in effect for seven days starting August 2, indicates that the districts of Mangan, Geyzing, Soreng, Namchi, Pakyong, and Gangtok are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms.
