Guwahati: Vice president of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Hareshwar Goshwami allegedly received a number of gunshot rounds at his home.
The incident was reported from his home in the Imphal East district’s Wangkei Konsam Leikai area.
According to reports, no one was injured during the incident. At the Porompat police station, a FIR was also filed in relation to the incident.
Information indicates that Goswami’s home’s gate contained at least ten blank 9 mm handgun cartridges.
Reportedly, the gunmen came out of a car and opened fire at the gate and drove away. A CCTV camera captured the entire incident.
So far, no militant organisation has taken responsibility for the attack.
Notably, the incident occurred barely two days after armed criminals attacked two BJP youth leaders.
