India Reports Decline In Daily Covid-19 Count
Guwahati: India recorded as many as 9,111 new cases of the virus on the previous day amid an uptick in Covid-19 instances in recent days, according to information from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
According to a notification from the health ministry, new cases brought the total number of active cases in the nation to 60,313. The new Covid-19 cases were recovered out of 1,08,436 tests conducted at that time.
Additionally, the percentage of current cases was 0.13. The weekly positivity rate increased to 4.94% while the daily positivity rate increased to 8.40%.
Meanwhile, 6,313 recoveries were also reported in India throughout the course of the last day bringing the country’s total since the start of the epidemic to 4,42,35,772.The recovery rate is 98.68% at the moment.
On the other hand, over the course of the previous day at least 24 deaths across the nation were linked to the COVID-19 virus. With this, 5,31,141 people had died in India as a result of the virus since the pandemic’s beginning. The deaths make up 1.18 percent of the total.
In the previous 24 hours, 198 more Covid-19 vaccinations were given throughout India. The total number of vaccines provided as part of the countrywide vaccination effort now stands at 220.66 crores. Out of this, 95.21 crore of the vaccinations were booster shots, and another 22.87 crore were preventative doses.
It should be noted that Delhi reported the largest change in daily Covid-19 instances out of all Indian states. In the previous day, Delhi reported 666 new instances of the virus. Kerala was third with 367 new instances reported during that time, followed in order by Haryana with 404 new cases.
