Indian Army provides solar streetlights to Tokowpathar village In Assam’s Tinsukia
Guwahati: With an aim to help in the development of basic infrastructure, the Indian Army has provided solar streetlights to Tokowpathar village of Tinsukia district in Assam.
This was informed by the PRO (Defence) Tezpur in a statement on January 8.
”The installation of solar streetlights will help in basic infrastructure development and provide energy-efficient streetlights to the village which faces acute shortage of electricity,” the statement from PRO (Defence) Tezpur said.
According to the statement, the Red Shield Div. held a ceremony at the Village Lower Primary School where the lights were presented to the people.
Key members of the village council along with other 200 hundred villagers were present on the occasion.
