Indian Hockey team beats Spain in Tokyo Olympics

Guwahati: The Indian Hockey team has beaten Spain by 3-0 at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 on Tuesday.
Rupinder Pal Singh and Simranjeet Singh scored three goals which helped the Indian team to get the victory.

With this victory, India has managed to reach the second position just after Australia in Pool A of the Tokyo Olympics.

In the first quarter, Rupinder and Simarjeet scored in less than 90 seconds to put the Spaniards on the back foot. There were no goals in the second and the third quarters as the Indian defenders were so “strong” that Spain did not get any chance to goal.

Earlier India defeated New Zealand 3-2 in its opening match. However, Spain is yet to note a win.
In the next match, India will be against Olympic champion Argentina
