J&K: 2 Terrorists killed in Police Encounter in Anantnag

Guwahati: At least two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to reports, the encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in the Pahalgam area of the district, reports said.

The news was shared on the official Twitter account of the Kashmir Zone Police. The Kashmir Zone Police wrote on Twitter, , “#AnantnagEncounterUpdate: 01 #terrorist killed. #Operation in progress. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice.”

Meanwhile, as per the reports of ANI the battle continues east of Batkoot in Pahalgam in Srichand Top (forest area).

On Monday, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir filed a charge sheet against three Hizb-ul-Mujahideen terrorists, two of whom were based in Pakistan.

Asif Shabir Naik, Shabir Hussain Naik, and Safdar Hussain were charged by the SIA in a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court.

The three were charged with organising terrorist and separatist actions in Jammu and Kashmir, according to the charge sheets.

It may be mentioned that the charge sheet has been submitted in a case that was filed on November 7 of last year, and the investigation took around six months, according to officials.
