Kamalpreet Kaur breaks National Record in Women’s discus throw

Kamalpreet Kaur has qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in women’s discus throw with a 65.06-metre throw during the National Federation Cup Senior Athletics Championships.

The Olympic qualification mark was 63.5 metres. Kaur has now become the first Indian woman to cross the 65-metre mark, breaking Krishna Poonia’s previous national record of 64.76 metres.
