Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs, Assam Police arrested one more person in connection with drug peddling in Chhaygaon of Kamrup district on Tuesday night.
The accused identified as Safikul Islam was arrested from the Majgumi village by a team of Chhaygaon Police.
The Police had recovered 39.4 grams of heroin and also seized his bike (Royal Enfield ).
Meanwhile, the special DGP of Assam, GP Singh taking the tweeter wrote, “@KamrupPolice recovered 39.4 grams heroin under Choygaon PS area. @assampolice @CMOfficeAssam @mygovassam.”
