Kaziranga to reopen from Tomorrow

Guwahati: With the improving COVID-19 situation in Assam, the state government has decided to reopen the Kaziranga National Park on 1 October.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday stated that the state government had planned to lift more COVID-19 restrictions from most parts of the state, especially from the wildlife sanctuaries for visitors from October 1.

He further said that the vaccinated people can come and enjoy the beauty of the park.

The government further stated that the park will be reopened with all the COVID-19 protocols and visitors should strictly follow the protocols.

It may be mentioned that the Kaziranga National Park was closed in the month of May for the visitors due to the severe condition of the COVID-19 pandemic in Assam.
