Guwahati, 3rd December: Arun Das, a renowned singer from the 90s, passed away at 4:35 AM today due to a prolonged illness, reports emerged on December 3.
Having been diagnosed with Covid-19, Das was previously admitted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). Unfortunately, he allegedly endured neglect during his time there without adequate attention to his needs.
Once a prominent figure in the Assamese industry, Arun Das had gradually faded from the public eye in recent years.
On social media, his hit songs such as ‘Ketiaba Ojanite,’ ‘Tumi Janu Jana,’ ‘Atori Atori,’ and ‘Mur Ei Morom’ resurfaced, shared as a nostalgic tribute to the late singer.
