Guwahati: The carcass of an adult leopard was found from a tea estate at Mariani under Jorhat district of Assam on Monday
According to reports, the feline’s body was found in a drain next to the Naginijan tea farm in Mariani.
The proprietor of the tea estate initially noticed the leopard, following which he alerted authorities.
Later, when forest officials arrived they removed the carcass for an autopsy.
The cause of its death is yet to be established.
