Guwahati: In a rare and rather vicious episode, an adult leopard was found dead with its claws and teeth removed at a village in Dibrugarh district of Assam on Saturday.
The carcass was found from Teporsali village near Moran town of the district.
It should be noted that the leopard has long terrorised the region.
Meanwhile, forestry officers arrived at the scene and recovered the carcass.
It is suspected that leopard was murdered however the exact cause of its death will be ascertained after a post-mortem, forest officials said.
