Guwahati: A member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist organisation was arrested in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar.
According to police, a huge cash of Rs 9.95 lakhs have been seized from his possession.
The LeT associate has been identified as Farhan Farooz. He was arrested during a naka checking on Tuesday.
Along with the cash, the accused was also found with a possession of 450 grammes of heroin, LeT letter pads, matrix sheets and a bike.
An FIR has been filed in accordance with the provisions of the NDPS and UAPA Acts at the Kotibagh Police Station.
An investigation has been initiated into the incident.
