Guwahati: The Assam Government has announced that the Assam Excise Rules 2016 have been changed, resulting in an increase in the price of alcohol, via a gazette announcement.
The Assam Government increased the price of all Indian-made spirit by 65 percent under the Assam Excise (Amendment) Rules, 2022.
This 65 percent hike will apply to all 750 ML categories, ranging from General Brand to Classic Premium Brand, with prices ranging from 271 MRP to 1,001 MRP.
The same will apply to all Indian-made spirits in quantities of 500 ML and 250 ML, from General Brand to Classic Premium Brand.
