Guwahati: The situation in Azara of Guwahati became tense after locals conducted protest in front of the Bijoynagar outpost on Tuesday
Massive demonstrations seeking justice for Bornali Das, the woman who was found dead in her house under strange circumstances.
The protesters, who were primarily female, criticised the police for their inadequate action against nabbing the culprit behind Bornali’s murder.
Bornali Das was reportedly found dead at her Rampur home on February 4.
Family members of the deceased have made accusations that Nizora Das, Bornali’s sister-in-law, murdered the woman when no one else was home.
Despite starting an investigation, the police have not been able to identify the offender.
