The Maharaja Bir Bikram University has introduced two new courses in the Department of Chemistry and Commerce in the current academic year 2020-21 which is Integrated Master Degree. Students will be able to get admission directly after passing higher secondary in these two courses. This course is for five (5) years and any student can leave the course with an honorary bachelor’s degree after three years if he / she wishes.
These two courses are very timely and necessary in the current context. The last date for admission in these two courses under Maharaja Birbikram University is 31st August. Each of these two courses can admit 60 students. This was stated by Professor Satyadeo Poddar at a press conference at the Administrative Building of Maharaja Bir Bikram University, Agartala.
He further said that Maharaja Bir Bikram University has for the first time launched a one-year evening diploma course in Goods & Services Tax (GST), Retail & Sales Management, Insurance Insurance Risk Management and Spanish language courses. These evening diploma courses for vocational skills and foreign language learning will open up employment opportunities for the youth of the state of Tripura.
