Man arrested for illegally selling medicines

Guwahati: A man has been arrested for stacking and illegally selling medicines meant for free government supply for patients of Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Monday.

The arrested person has been identified as Kuldeep Dutta.

According to reports, he was allegedly sneaking medications from the hospital and selling them to private medical pharmacies outside.

Dutta was apprehended when hospital officials informed police of the misconduct.

However, he was accused of being a part of a scheme that took legitimate prescriptions, faked them, and then edited the quantity of the drugs.

It may be mentioned that he would take the drug for free from the GMCH’s central pharmacy and other pharmacies and sell it outside.
