Man arrested for threatening to kill CM Zoramthanga
Guwahati: A 37-year-old man from Mizoram was arrested after allegedly threatening to assassinate chief minister Zoramthaga unless he resigned within three months on Sunday.
The accused has been identified as Rodinliana alias Apuia Tocchhawng, who hailed from Khawzawl town and resident of Chanmari West locality of Aizawl.
According to reports, Tocchhawng in a social media post published on numerous Facebook groups, accused Zoramthanga of usurping the state’s annual budget for personal gain.
He also claimed to have hired a sharpshooter to kill the prime minister.
The bogus account dubbed ‘Thingtlang Pa,’ was examined by Cybercrime Police, who tracked down and arrested the perpetrator.
It needs to mentioned that Tocchhawng was earlier been arrested in 2018 threatening the former chief minister Lal Thanhawla by writing a letter to him.
