Guwahati: At least 13 students were injured after a bus accident ferrying students of Pettigrew College in Khararphung of Ukhrul on April 4 at around 10:20 am.
According to reports, the accident occurred due to vehicle’s brake failure.
Reportedly, the injured students were immediately rushed to Leishiphung Christian Hospital for first aid treatment.
Meanwhile, one student has been released from the hospital but the others are still admitted. The handyman of the bus has been sent to Imphal for additional treatment.
According to reports, the bus was recovered by the 35 Assam Rifles with the help of locals.
