Manipur CM Strongly Condemns Attack on CRPF Personnel, Vows to Honor Their Sacrifice

Northeast Desk, 27th April: In response to the tragic incident in the Naransena region of Bishnupur district, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has denounced the attack on Indian security forces, emphasizing the bravery and dedication of the CRPF personnel. Singh labeled the assault as an act of cowardice, highlighting the unwavering commitment of the security forces to maintain peace and stability in the state. Assuring that the sacrifice of the fallen personnel will not be forgotten, Singh expressed his condolences and solidarity with the families of the victims.

“Strongly condemn the assault carried out against the Indian security forces, resulting in the tragic loss of two CRPF personnel in the Naransena area of Bishnupur district. Such actions demonstrate cowardice against dedicated security personnel who work tirelessly day and night to uphold peace and stability in the state. Their sacrifice will not go in vain,” wrote Biren Singh on his X handle.

The unfortunate incident occurred on April 27, with two CRPF personnel losing their lives in an attack by suspected Kuki militants. The attack, which commenced at midnight and continued till 2:15 am, targeted personnel from CRPF’s 128 Battalion deployed in the Naransena area of Bishnupur district. Sources indicate that armed groups fired towards a village under the jurisdiction of the Moirang police station, leading to a bomb explosion inside the outpost of B/128 Bn CRPF at Narayansena. The explosion resulted in injuries to four personnel, with two succumbing to their injuries.
