Massive Cannabis Consignment Intercepted by RPF and GRP in Guwahati

Guwahati, 10th August: In a significant operation, a joint team of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) successfully intercepted a substantial consignment of cannabis on Thursday. The operation took place at the Kamakhya Railway Station in Guwahati’s Maligaon area, according to emerging reports.

Preliminary information suggests that the cannabis consignment was not only intercepted but also seized during the joint operation. The officials involved in the operation have detained two individuals in connection with the smuggling of the contraband.

During the interrogation of the detainees, they reportedly revealed their intention to transport the seized cannabis out of Assam and into the state of Bihar. The detainees provided these details to the authorities, shedding light on their alleged smuggling operation.
