Guwahati: Massive fire breaks out at the Geeta Nagar area in a furniture manufacturing unit in Guwahati on Friday.
The fire broke out in the “Wood Works” furniture manufacturing unit which is located opposite of Geeta Nagar field.
According to reports, the police and fire brigade reached the spot to put of the fire, but it was not completely extinguished.
However, the cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit, but no official statement has been made yet.
It may be mentioned that no casualties have been reported as of yet, but property damage is expected as a result of the fire.
