Guwahati: A massive fire broke out in an empty train at Madhubani railway station of Bihar on Saturday morning.
The incident took place in Swatantrata Senani Express that runs from Jaynagar to New Delhi.
The fire broke out at 9:13 AM today and it was doused around 9:50 AM.
According to reports, the horrific fire damaged five bogies of the train.
However, the reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, the East Central Railway (ECR) stated that a high-level investigation into the incident will be conducted.
It may be noted that the Government Railway Police/Rail Protection Force is investigating the incident. The Railway Administration is taking this very seriously, and a high-level investigation will be launched.
The railways further informed that appropriate measures are being taken to guarantee that similar accidents do not occur again.
