Massive Fire Breaks Out In A Train In Uttar Pradesh

Guwahati: A massive fire broke out in two coaches of a passenger train in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.

The incident took place at the Daurala Railway Station near Meerut.

According to reports, the passenger train was heading towards Delhi from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh.

The train left Saharanpur at 5:30 am.

When it was approaching Daurala Station, smoke could be observed coming from one of its compartments.

By the time the train arrived at the station at 7.10 a.m., the two carriages had already taken fire.

However, the cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit which quickly spread to the train’s engine.

The railway station employees along with the assistance of passengers, promptly disconnected the damaged carriages from the engine to prevent the fire from spreading.

No casualties have been reported in the incident as passengers travelling inside these coaches were safely evacuated.

It needs to be mentioned that the fire brigades reached the spot and the fire was brought under control after hours of effort.
