Massive Landslide Blocks National Highway 306 Connecting Assam and Mizoram

Northeast Desk, 28th July: Reports emerged on Friday that the National Highway 306 a crucial road connecting Assam with Mizoram has been blocked due to a massive landslide.

The landslide occurred at Company Bank locality in Aizawl, Mizoram on Thursday causing significant disruption to communication between Aizawl and Silchar. As a result numerous vehicles have become stranded on the NH-306.

Visuals of the stranded vehicles on the national highway have surfaced, highlighting the severity of the situation.

Authorities are currently engaged in efforts to clear the debris and restore normal traffic flow on the highway.

Thankfully, no loss of life or injuries have been reported in connection with the incident. However, the landslide has caused significant inconvenience to travelers and transportation services in the region.
