Maximum Age for Applicants In Civil Service Exams has been Lowered In Arunachal Pradesh
Guwahati: The maximum age for applicants to the civil service examinations has been lowered by three years in Arunachal Pradesh.
The maximum age for applicants to the civil services examinations in Arunachal Pradesh has been lowered by three years to 35.
According to a formal announcement from the office of the Arunachal Pradesh chief minister, the maximum age for APST candidates will be 40.
Amendments to Rule 3 of the Arunachal civil services and civil posts (higher age limit for direct recruitment) Rules were authorised by the Arunachal Pradesh cabinet.
All candidates who applied for direct recruitment exams but had their exams cancelled, postponed or delayed by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) in 2022 due to administrative reasons will also be subject to the proposed upper age restriction with a one-time exception.
The chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu recently declared a three-year relaxation in the maximum age requirement for APPSC exams.
It should be noted that the Arunachal Pradesh government currently has a 32-year-old age restriction for direct recruitment for civil services and civil offices with APST candidates receiving a 5-year age reduction.
