Meghalaya Elections 2023: TMC leader Mukul Sangma loses from Tikrikilla constituency

Guwahati: Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Sangma lost from Tikrikilla and along with him, his wife Dikkanchi D Shira and brother Zenith Sangma also lost in the Meghalaya Assembly elections on March 2.

However, he is in the lead in Songsak 41.

Sangma was in the lead for both seats in Meghalaya during the early going, but the numbers soon altered, and he was forced to concede.

Sangma stated that the people of Meghalaya were tired of the National People’s Party’s mismanagement and corruption when he cast his ballot on February 27.

”They want change, and I am confident that TMC will emerge as the alternative,” he added.

Political observers are paying careful attention to the elections in Meghalaya since they are anticipated to have an impact on the state’s political climate. On March 2, the election results will be declared, and it is uncertain which party will prevail.
