The Meghalaya Police has arrested six person in East Jaintia Hills district with a huge quantity of detonators and explosives. An SUV with Assam registration was also intercepted at Kongong in the Ladrymbai police outpost area. The Police has also arrested two persons who were travelling in the vehicle.
Police has seized around ten cartons with 250 kg of explosives (2,000 gelatin sticks), 1,000 live detonators and eight rolls of fuse were found in the car. Based detained information the Meghalaya Police has arrested four more persons regarding the case.
