Northeast Desk, 31st July: Sunny Nongrum, a 30-year-old man from Meghalaya, was discovered dead in a hotel room in Guwahati’s Paltan Bazar. Nongrum, a resident of Golf Links, had checked into the hotel on July 27.
According to reports from the Assam police, the scene suggested drug use, as a drug container and used syringe were found near his body. The police have not released further details, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding Nongrum’s death.
This incident has raised concerns about drug use in the region, prompting calls for heightened vigilance and preventive measures.
