Missing Aircraft Found in Nepal’s Mustang

Guwahati: Tara Air’s 9 NAET twin-engine aircraft, which went missing in Nepal’s Mustang district on Sunday morning, was discovered in Mutsang’s Kowang village.

The Tara Air plane crashed at the mouth of the Lamche River under the landslide of Manapathi Himal, according to information given to the Nepal Army by villagers.

However, the status of the aircraft has yet to be determined, and the ground situation is being investigated.

The Nepal Army is advancing towards the spot by road and air routes, according to army spokesperson Narayan Silwal.

Tara Air’s 9 NAET twin-engine aircraft went missing this morning with 22 persons on board, including four Indians. According to media sources, the jet is operated by a private airline in Nepal.

An aircraft using the call sign 9 NAET flew from Pokhara to Jomsom at 9:55 am, but lost communication after reaching the Lete district of Mustang.

A Nepali Army Mi-17 helicopter left for Lete in northern Nepal earlier today, the likely crash site of the missing plane.
