Missing boy from Arunachal found by Chinese PLA

Guwahati: The missing boy from Arunachal was found by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), the Indian Army informed on Sunday.

 

In a statement PRO Defence, Tezpur Lt Col Harshvardhan Pandey said, “The Chinese Army has communicated to us that they have found a missing boy from Arunachal Pradesh and the due procedure is being followed.”

 

It may be mentioned that the 17-year-old boy identified as Miram Taron reportedly went missing on Tuesday, January 18 from the Lungta Jor area under Siyungla in Arunachal Pradesh.

Miram Taron was allegedly kidnapped by the PLA from within Indian territory, according to state MP Tapir Gao. “Chinese #PLA abducted Sh Miram Taron, 17 years of Zido village, from within Indian territory, Lungta Jor region (China-built 3-4 kilometres road inside India in 2018) under Siyungla area (Bishing village) of Upper Siang dist, Arunachal Pradesh,” he stated in a tweet.

According to Tapir Gao, the incident occurred around the point where the Tsangpo River joins India in Arunachal Pradesh.
