Guwahati: At least three people including a 14-year-old girl were charred to death after a massive fire that broke out in a farmhouse in Aizawal district of Mizoram on Sunday.
The incident took place near the Suangpuilawn village of the district.
The deceased have been identified as Vanlalmawia, the caretaker of the farm, his 14-year-old daughter Zorinmawii, and the farm’s owner Lalmuankima.
According to reports, the bodies were burned beyond recognition.
Meanwhile, the fire also destroyed a vehicle parked near the property.
However, the reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained and further investigation into the matter is underway.
