Guwahati: A woman along with two of her sons are suspected to have attempted suicide on Tuesday afternoon by jumping into a river at Baihati Chariali in Assam’s Kamrup Rural district.
The incident was reported at Puthimari river near Aathgaon area.
Locals who were paying attention were able to save one of the sons, but the mother and the other son are still missing as of the time this report was filed.
The reason for them taking the extreme step is yet to be established.
Meanwhile, authorities have been informed of the incident and a search effort has been started to find the mother and boy who have vanished.
