Mumbai Police Arrest Actor Sahil Khan in Connection with Mahadev Betting App Scandal

National Desk, 28th April: In a notable development, Mumbai police crime branch has apprehended actor Sahil Khan from Chattisgarh on Sunday morning regarding his involvement in the Mahadev betting app case. This comes after the Bombay High Court rejected Khan’s anticipatory bail plea.

Aged 47, Khan faced interrogation by the police regarding the Mahadev betting app, accused of facilitating illegal gambling activities spanning various sports and games, including poker, card games, badminton, tennis, football, and cricket.

The crime branch is currently probing alleged illegal transactions involving financial and real estate entities in the state and the promoters of the Mahadev betting application. The scam’s magnitude, outlined in the police FIR, is estimated to be around Rs 15,000 crore.

Khan, along with 31 others, is under investigation, with authorities scrutinizing their bank accounts, mobile phones, laptops, and technical equipment for additional evidence.

Sahil Khan, known for his roles in films like Style (2001) and Xcuse Me (2003), has also gained recognition as a fitness expert, amassing a substantial following on his YouTube channel, which boasts over 2.8 million subscribers.
