Guwahati, 26th July: A sense of mystery and grief enveloped in Bhaskar Nagar of Kalapahar as a class 9 student was found dead under mysterious circumstances near her residence during the early hours of Wednesday.
According to sources, the incident was brought to light when a neighbor spotted the body of the student within the boundary near her residence and promptly alerted the police.
The mother of the deceased revealed that her daughter had expressed feeling unwell on the previous day. However, the family members were unaware of any underlying stress she might have been experiencing.
On the day of the incident, the student had remained at home throughout the day and attended tuition in the evening. Later, she worked on her project with the assistance of her mother until 3 am and went to her room to sleep.
In response to the incident, the magistrate and city police reached the scene and initiated an investigation into the matter.
Preliminary findings suggest that the girl may have taken a drastic step by jumping off from the building and falling on the boundary, indicating the possibility of suicide.
A family member expressed bewilderment, stating, “We are unaware of any stress she was experiencing.” She was an excellent student. We are unable to digest and comprehend the cause for her shocking step.”
The deceased was a student of Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School, and her untimely demise has left the community in shock and mourning.
