Nagaland Congress Launches “Donate for Congress” Campaign Amidst Frozen Bank Accounts
Northeast Desk, 9th April: Amidst the freezing of Congress party bank accounts by the Union government, the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has launched the “Donate for Congress” campaign to bolster its electoral campaign fund for S Supongmeren Jamir, the consensus candidate for Nagaland’s lone Lok Sabha seat. NPCC contends that the freezing of accounts is not only political maneuvering but also an assault on India’s democratic essence.
In a statement issued through its communications department, NPCC denounced the freezing of Congress party bank accounts, portraying it as an infringement upon democratic rights and electoral processes outlined in the Constitution. The campaign aims to provide an avenue for voters to express their dissent against such actions and advocate for a level playing field in the electoral arena.
The “Donate for Congress” initiative invites the people of Nagaland to stand against perceived injustice and support the Congress Party’s electoral endeavors. NPCC has urged supporters, well-wishers of the Congress Party, and conscientious citizens of Nagaland to contribute generously to the cause.
