Guwahati: Nagaon SI Junmoni Rabha who had grabbed media attention in the audience across platforms after arresting her fiancé on cheating accusations a few days ago has been transferred from Nagaon to Kaliabor.
Junmoni Rabha’s fiancé Rana Pogag was arrested on suspicions of cheating on May 4. The couple was about to tie the knot when she discovered that he had submitted the wrong identification, claiming to be an OIL officer. She arrested him and sent him to jail after discovering he was a fraudster.
Meanwhile, once Rabha’s fiancé was jailed a fresh tale surfaced alleging that she was also involved in a scam.
Two Majuli contractors identified as Avatar Sarma and Ajit Bora have filed a cheating complaint against Rabha. A mobile voice recording of Rabha and the contractors discussing a money laundering case went popular on social media as well.
Following the revelation of the scam, Nagaon Superintendent of Police (SP) Leena Doley stated that if they receive any proof against Junmoni Rabha, they will take action against her.
Meanwhile, details of money transactions from Junmoni Rabha’s account have surfaced. A large sum of money has been deposited in Rabha’s account. Rabha and her fiancé Rana Pogag are said to have collected crores of rupees.
Following the scam that came to light, Rabha has been immediately transferred to Kaliabor.
