Nepal plane carrying 22 passengers goes missing, 4 Indians onboard

Guwahati: Tara Air’s twin otter, which had been flying from Pokhara to Jomsom since Sunday morning, has gone missing.

According to reports, there were three crew members on the plane, including 13 Nepalis, four Indians, and two German passengers.

Captain Prabhakar Kimre piloted the plane, which took off from Pokhara at 9:55 a.m.

All communication with the aircraft was broken within minutes of departure, according to sources at Tribhuvan International Airport.

The 9N-AET aircraft carrying 19 people from Pokhara lost communication at 9:55 am, according to a Tara Air employee.

There have been unconfirmed reports of loud booms in Gaza near Jomsom, according to the air traffic controller at Jomsom airport.

The helicopter was dispatched to the last contact area, according to the air traffic controller at Jomsom airport.

Reportedly, there were 13 Nepalese, 4 Indians, two Germans and 3 crew on board the aircraft.

The missing plane had four Indians and three Japanese on board. The remaining passengers were Nepalese citizens, reports said.
