Guwahati: The new Governor of Assam Gulab Chand Kataria arrived in Guwahati on Tuesday afternoon.
Kataria was greeted at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport by cabinet members Atul Bora, Chandra Mohan Patowary, Bimal Borah, Ranjeet Kumar Dass, Urkhao Gwra Brahma and state BJP President Bhabesh Kalita among others.
The chief secretary of the Assam government Paban Kumar Borthakur and the chief security officer also attended the ceremony to greet the new governor.
Kataria is expected to take the governor’s oath tomorrow.
