NIRF Rankings 2023: IIT Guwahati at Ninth Position
National Desk, 5 June: IIT Madras ranked first among the overall higher education institutions in the 8th edition of the NIRF (National Institute Ranking Framework) rankings, released by the Union Ministry of Education on Monday.
Prof V Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, said, “The news that IIT Madras has again topped the overall and engineering category of the National Institute Ranking Framework 2023 run by the Union Ministry of Education has given us a lot of encouragement. We will continue to take all necessary steps to make IIT Madras a locally relevant and globally recognised institution. ”
Indian Institute of Technology IIT Madras topped the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in India Rankings 2023 of the Ministry of Education; Indian Institute of Science Bangalore Bangalore and IIT-Delhi 9 have bagged the second and third position respectively.
On the other hand, IIT Guwahati has managed to retain its position in the top 10 this time as well. This year the institute secured the seventh position in engineering stream while the institute secured the ninth position in both the overall and research categories.
The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (Institute of Science) was selected as the top university in the ranking of higher educational institutions in the university category; Jawaharlal Nehru University and Jamia Millia Islamia from Delhi bagged the second and third position respectively.
Miranda House in New Delhi has been ranked third among the top 10 colleges in the country as per India Rankings 2023 and Hindu College in New Delhi and Presidency College in Chennai.
Indian Institute of Technology-Madras has been selected as the top institute of engineering education while Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and Bombay have been ranked second and third in the country.
According to the NIRF ranking, “IIM Ahmedabad ranked first in the management category while IIM Ahmedabad ranked first while IIM Bangalore and Kozhikode came second and third. ”
The three institutes that top the list of medical sciences are The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Chandigarh’s Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research and Christian Medical College in Vellore.
The top three institutes of law education in the country are National Law School of India University in Bengaluru, National Law School of India University in New Delhi and Nalsar Law University in Hyderabad.
The ranking list was released by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi on Monday.
