Nita Ambani Resigns from Reliance Industries Limited Board, New Appointments Made

National Desk, 28th August: Nita Ambani, Chairperson and founder of the Reliance Foundation, has reportedly stepped down from her position on the Board of Directors of Reliance Industries Limited. In her place, Isha Ambani, Akash Ambani, and Anant Ambani have been appointed as non-executive directors of the company. The decision was made during a board meeting held on Monday.

The board accepted Nita Ambani’s resignation while recognizing her enduring commitment to driving the Reliance Foundation toward greater societal transformation. The company’s statement conveyed, “Their appointment will take effect from the date they assume office after approval by the shareholders.”

Nita Ambani’s dedication has now shifted towards strengthening the foundation, leading her to launch new programs and initiatives aimed at bringing about profound positive changes in society.

Although Nita Ambani has resigned from the board, she will continue to contribute her insights by attending all RIL Board meetings as a permanent invitee, ensuring that her valuable advice continues to benefit the company.

Isha Ambani, Akash Ambani, and Anant Ambani have been actively engaged in key RIL businesses, including retail, digital services, and energy and materials. Their leadership roles have contributed significantly to the company’s growth and success.
