Guwahati: Spit stains were witnessed on the newly constructed Dispur-Supermarket flyover in Guwahati even before its inauguration.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, “Artists have been working decorating the flyover day and night as the opening of the newly constructed flyover on November 4.”
“It’s like somebody spitted on our face, not on the bridge,” one of the painters, who work day and night to make magnificent artworks for the flyover said.
This is not the first time that city residents have spit ‘gutka’ and stained new flyovers and bridges.
Earlier, someone spitted on the GS Road foot-over bridge just a few hours after it was inaugurated.
