A NSCN(IM) cadre has surrendered in Lekhapani under Margherita sub-division in Tinsukia district on Wednesday. The surrendered militant has been identified as Samiran Chetia, a resident of No 3 Rampur village in Jagun under Margherita sub-division.
According to the Police the militant was in the NSCN(IM) headquarters at Hebron, 35 km from Dimapur.
