Odisha Train Accident: Five Trains Scheduled to Start from Assam Cancelled by NFR

Guwahati, 4 June: North East Frontier Railway (NFR) said in a press release that five trains scheduled to start from Assam have been cancelled due to the derailment of the Karmandal Express in the horrific train accident at Balasore in Odisha on Friday.

In view of the derailment of 12841 (Chennai Central) Karmandall Express between Kharagpur and Bhadrak block under South Eastern Railway, the following trains have been cancelled-

Train No. 12510 (Guwahati – SMDT Bengaluru) Express train scheduled to start on June 6, 2023 was cancelled.

Train No. 12552 (Kamakhya SMVT Bengaluru) Express train scheduled to start on June 07, 2023.

Train No. 06074 Rangapara North Erode Defunct) Special Train scheduled to start on June 03, 2023 has been cancelled.

Train  No. 22504 (Dibrugarh – Kanyakumari) Vivek Express train scheduled to start its journey on June 3, 2023 has been cancelled.

Train No. 22512 (Kamakhya Lokmanya Tilak Terminus) which was scheduled to start on June 3, 2023, has been cancelled.

It is to be noted that so far 300 passengers have been killed and above 1000 injured in the train accident that took place on Friday at around 7 pm.
