Guwahati: The Oil India Limited (Oil) in Duliajan cautioned residents of the state to be wary of fraudulent links claiming that Oil India Ltd is offering a subsidy or monetary incentive on Thursday.
Oil India Ltd has declared that the information presented is “FAKE,” and that it does not support any such subsidy or claim.
This announcement came after Oil India Limited’s activities in Assam were disrupted by a cyber-attack in April 2022.
Taking to Twitter, the official Twitter handle of the Oil India Limited said, “#URGENT and #IMPORTANT. If you receive any link stating that Oil India Ltd is offering any subsidy or cash reward, please do not click on it. The information provided is #FAKE. Oil India Ltd does not endorse any such subsidy or claim.”
