One arrested for hurling Petrol Bomb at AGP leader’s house

Guwahati: Assam Police claimed to have arrested the accused after being attacked with a petrol bomb attack at AGP Leader Ranjit Deka’s residence at around 9 pm on August 7 at Pathsala in lower Assam’s Bajali district. The accused has been arrested.

The arrested accused has been identified as 24-year-old Mintu Ali of Pathsala town in Bajali district.

Preliminary investigation by the police revealed that Ali used threatened Ranjit Deka’s wife through phone calls using international numbers.

Ali has been taken into police custody for 6 days and the police have also recovered 13 mobile phones and multiple SIM cards along with a laptop from his possession.
