Guwahati: A drug mafia has been sentenced to 20 years rigorous imprisonment by Nagaon District and Session Court here on Saturday in a drug seizure case.
Drug mafia Habul Ali was arrested with brown sugar worth Rs 2.5 million on December 6, 2022.
After his arrest, police produced a challan before the court.
Based on the evidence, the court found Habul Ali guilty under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 and sentenced him to 20-year rigorous imprisonment.
